Who is Mitch?
Currently, an appointed member of Carlisle borough council, Mitch is an Artist working in Carlisle. He studied biology at Penn State University, went to graduate school for ceramic studio art and recently completed online schooling in data science. Mitch has been a volunteer for the Carlisle Climate action Committee since its inception. In 2023 he analyzed 10 years worth of Penn DoT crash data to show council the need for further safety improvements for pedestrians and cyclists. This resulted in the borough passing its Vision Zero resolution to reduce serious Injuries and deaths on local streets to zero. Mitch is a part of the transportation advocacy group Bikelisle, which advocates for making non-automotive modes of transportation feasible and safe through building community, education, advocacy, and the creation of cultural artifacts. He Lives with his spouse Rachel, his son Krusen, and their two cats Davey and Bizen. |
