R.M.S:
Spectral Futures is a work of photography, where classic long exposure techniques are used to generate false images in a landscape. Like Spirit Photography portrayed ghosts in the photochemical works of the past, this body of work references the future and the current extinction event that we live in today. Much like the cave drawings of neolithic humans these representations are not intended to be facsimiles, but instead capture the human imagination related to them. We will never see a sabertooth tiger or a mastodon as they once existed and freely occupied these spaces both wild and urban.
